The Divination Experience Results 27th May

During The Divination Experience on Wednesday 27th May our group combined the power of astrology with the use of cards. After a meditation which connected us to the Wisdom of the Zodiac, we reflected on the following question whilst following the Divination procedure selected for that evening.
The question was:
How will The Life Academy of New Zealand expand overseas? The Academy is considered the collective people and collective intent to bring passion, purpose and potential into being.
Here are the results:
1. All will be in Divine Timing. When the full identity is complete, wisdom will be directed to where it is needed to go.
2. There will not be a lack of Ideas or Inspiration. Wisdom will be imparted. Remain grounded, money will be made available and needs will be met.
3. Creative Energy working together for the good of all. There will be travel to the South Island. A vision of Mount Cook was received.
4. Forgiveness, meaning letting go, is a message needed to be heard. Help people to release things that enable them to move on with their lives. Don’t limit the options. Whatever is needed can be achieved. Build strong foundations and show others how to build a similar model.
5. Healing will occur when you help people find their own truth. Develop the online community.
6. Focus on being present in other communities and ‘walk the talk’. Maintain the spark and enthusiasm for making a difference. Don’t get stale. There will be a lot of work to get the formula right over the next two years. Don’t allow negative people to ‘jump’ on you.
7. Spiritual growth will occur through strong alliances and partnerships. Protect your assets and be clear on what you are offering. This will save much wasted time and energy.
8. Ask for support from causes that desire to make a difference. Find people who want the same as you and work with them in partnership.
9. Surrender and release to something that cannot be anticipated. Release need and expectation. The Academy Good Will Project can make pockets of difference.
10 – 12 Ensure purity of intent, be honest and simple. Remove the need to protect and hold close and focus on self-disclosure.
11. Enjoy, share and be happy.

On Wednesday’s evenings we experience The Divination Experience! A group of us come together to connect with the Divine truth within and without, and connect with one another. Connecting with the Divine is about connecting with your own wisdom, your intuition, your truth. The Divination Experience aims to bring back the experience of channelling insight and knowledge into the every day.
According to Wikipedia, Divination (from Latin divinare “to be inspired by a god”, related to divine, diva and deus) is the attempt to gain insight into a question or situation by way of a standardized process or ritual. Divination is not telling the future that is based in fact. Divination can provide possibilities based on a person’s current path and decisions which can be changed at any time. This is called Free Will. Be wary of anyone’s claims that they can “see” the future, although they may be able to “see” the future possibilities.
Below is a list of commonly used Divination methods, although there are many more:
- Tarot
- Cards (Playing Cards, Angel Cards, Animal Guides)
- Numerology
- Runes
- I Ching
- Pendulum
- Connecting with Angels and Guides
- Scrying
- Crystals and the Crystal Ball
- Dominoes
- Astrology
- Palm Reading
- Tea Leaves
- Automatic Writing/Drawing
- Dream Interpretation
Man, throughout history, has found any tool to aid the connection to his own innate wisdom. The wisdom is not within the tool, but within ourselves.
We’d like to share the wisdom received on Wednesday 20th May. The question posed to the group of Diviners was:
How can New Zealand bring enlightenment to other Countries around the World?
Here is a summary of what was received:
New Zealand in Partnership
Working in unison and in tandem. There may be struggles at first. Remember that we are all one system, connecting with our commonalities as a human race. We are all children of God.
There would be much benefit in each of us connecting in brotherhood with another person in another country as Companions of Light. The wisdom received could be considered like an ‘exchange project’, connecting, exchanging and building bridges across Countries. A similar idea is groups connecting with like-minded groups in other countries. For example, a similar group/organisation to The Life Academy of New Zealand, exchanging experiences and building bridges across the water.
There is much to gain in bringing back lost ‘friends’ such as Fiji.
New Zealand with Positive Intent
Don’t try to make things happen. Set your intent to bring Light to the world and let the journey unfold. The Universe will help and support you through your Intent alone.
See Love everywhere and allow it to grow. You have the opportunity to transform your World through your positive radiance and vibration, so just remember just to Be and Be in the Now. Your ability to be in the Now will have a knock-on effect elsewhere.
Relax, breathe and stay fresh. Lose old habits that no longer serve your purpose. Maintain positive thoughts and affirm positive things. Pray Big – think Big. Treat New Zealand like a Wishing Well.
New Zealand as an Example of a Green Country
Do not waste Earth’s resources. Set good examples of how we can be self-sufficient, clean and green. Aim to be pollutant free and live with simple measures. Help others in being clean, green and nuclear-free.
Observe the Stars, the Moon – draw wisdom from Maori tradition, carvings and symbolism.
New Zealand as an example of ‘Good’ Business
Good Business Structures can make meaningful contributions to the world. This requires businesses to have high intent and to see themselves in service to others. True wealth is aligning Heaven with the Earth.
Demonstrating Leadership in Business through busyness and creating – not following. New Zealand can take the lead with its strong spiritual vibrations. We can build strong foundations with other countries through good negotiation and finding ways to be more creative.
Find new ways of exchanging resources, using outside sources where beneficial and replicating strategies that work. Spread good news. New Zealand can flow like a natural current – like a current of the sea. A new currency can be introduced by paying for goods and services.
The number 8 serves as the symbol of balance and perfection. Building bridges and building bonds across the waters. Being the number of perfection, this can be manifested if this is your intent.
Don’t borrow resources for they are not unlimited. Create resources, increase flow. Combine work from the home.
New Zealand as a Family
Restore the natural balance of family. When family runs in order, so does society. Nothing else flows if the family is in disorder. Work on restoring this balance and set this example for others.
Do let us know your thoughts about how New Zealand can bring enlightenment to the world. Leave us a comment. Thanks!
Is there a recipe for creating Miracles?

So many questions around creating miracles……
What constitutes a miracle?
How do we make miracles happen?
Are there a number of steps that we all must go through – is there a recipe for sucess?
Is a miracle a random event that was so unexpected but considered positive beyond our wildest dreams?
What is the difference between a miracle and a tragedy?
How can we wish upon ourselves one thing yet reassure ourselves that the possibility for getting caught in some form of personal disaster is so slim?
What are your thoughts about how we can create miracles in our lives? Leave a comment….
The Attitude of Gratitude

In one episode of the TV cartoon show, “The Simpsons,” young Bart, is asked to say grace. He prays
“Dear God, we paid for all this stuff ourselves, so thanks for nothing.”
It’s an interesting reflection of where we are today in society. How many of us, don’t say thank you, each time we eat a meal? It seems we’ve forgotten how to say thank you for the simplest of things – for the food and beverages that nourish us, and sustain us. There’s the sun, without which our life would not exist that provides the energy for growing the food we eat, and the rain that rebalances and our water levels and allows our bodies consisting mainly of water, to be replenished.
So looking at Barts point of view and his family who worked to put a meal on the table – how many of us give thanks for having a job, or a source of income, or the provision to grow our own food to put that meal on the table?
We’re probably better at giving thanks for things we value – things that we consider a blessing. We’re probably also good for giving thanks when we are relieved that our fears didn’t come true “thank goodness for that”. We’re probably not so good for giving thanks during times of adversity – when we are challenged. When times are tough we’re probably not so good at looking at the things we do have that are blessings perhaps unrecognised.
Learning to express gratitude for the little things challenges us. It challenges us to remove the layers of ‘what we should have’ in our lives, and focus, and cultivate ‘what we do have’.
If we were homeless, would we be grateful for the shelter provided to us – if that was a bridge, sheltering us from rain, could we be grateful?
If we had lost someone close, would we be grateful for the life that we knew, and the opportunity to learn about how we continue life without them, and to explore how that life lives on? Could we be grateful?
If we lost our job, would we be grateful for the opportunity to show courage and resilience and to find a new sense of faith that we will be supported by the earth? Could we be grateful?
Learning to express gratitude brings us back to the truth Read more
Are you New Age?

Thank you so much for your question of whether The Life Academy of New Zealand falls under the ‘New Age’ banner – it’s an interesting one and one we’ve debated. If you need a straight answer, it would have to be no. The reason for this is that we not identify ourselves with any particular movement. This does depend on your interpretation of New Age – if we are talking about the movement increasing since the 1980’s which explores individual practices for self-realisation and rejects religious bodies of teachings then we are not. The Life Academy of New Zealand is about life – of finding meaning and connection in our lives, in ourselves and with one another through our relationships, and in business.
We embrace all practices with high intent that support, inspire, challenge, motivate and help us to be the best people we can be – whether these be religiously structured, personally defined, scientifically proven, or business experienced. We certainly can learn from the wisdom that is represented through ‘new’ age experience, in the same manner as teaching that has been around since the beginning of man, and that which falls in the middle – all of which you might find incorporated into The Life Academy of New Zealand. Perhaps you might call us ‘alternative’ in that we ‘incorporate’ experience rather than define boundaries.
We hope this answers your question and please be assured that whatever your personal beliefs, passion, or interests we value you as an individual and are here to serve you in the highest possible way.

Tauranga Riding for the Disabled will welcome you with open arms and show you how much they have to offer. Do you feel a sense of disconnect in your life? Would you like to make a difference to others? How could you benefit from meeting new people and developing new skills? Giving of yourself is not just about what you can do for others, but what they can do for you.
Individuals and businesses that connect with meaningful activities open up whole new dimensions. Inspiration for new projects or ideas for creative problem solving suddenly starts to flow when we are giving. This is because we are releasing the need to ‘hold on to’ and start allowing a flow that moves away from us. Whilst letting go of our own immediate needs might feel uncomfortable as we let go of control, it’s a very necessary step in opening up new doors and new opportunities. Moving this flow outwards, and away from us, creates a healthy space for new flow to come inwards.
So. Are you ready for a new way of life?
We are so grateful that Tauranga Riding for the Disabled has given us the opportunity to increase a sense of connection and well being in our lives. Here is an oportunity to meet with positive people, and do positive things. It doesn’t matter whether you have a course you’d like to attend now, or whether you’d like to build up some ‘credit’ for when something you do like comes up. You can contact us to start making a difference today.

Kerry Thomson co-founded The Life Academy of New Zealand, in 2009, along with her friend and business partner, Louise Gilbert.

Kerry Thomson
Kerry is a professional Bowen Therapist and runs her own private clinic in Papamoa. She has been practising Bowen Therapy for over five years and this year should complete her Masters Procedures. Her passion for healing and learning about the spiritual world of energy was ignited by her great-grandmother who was a Romany gypsy and read palms.
My desire to heal, and help others to heal themselves is a strong motivation for what I do. I believe that everyone has the capacity for self-healing, whether it be emotionally, physically, mentally or spiritually. We are holistic beings where all sides of our nature require recognition, balancing and empowering in order for us to lead whole, healthy and happy lives. I look forward to working with you, and supporting you on your journey.
Kerry became consciously aware of her spiritual path about five years ago. Her quest for exploration and desire for creating community led her to the role of President at the Mount Healing & Spiritual Centre, where she remained for four years. During that time Kerry met people from all walks of life, learning about our different needs and desire for connection to something more meaningful in life. She was also very privileged to work alongside some of the most respected healers and motivational speakers within New Zealand.
Kerry also gave her time in service at the Greerton Healing & Spiritual Centre for 18 months leaving to discover new pastures. During this time, she ran meditation and spiritual development groups on a regular basis supporting individuals to find their own inner-voice and develop skills for mastering our lives through the subtle energies that exist all around us.
Having been involved in running the spiritual centres, Kerry became aware of the increasing need for community, guidance, and direction. She became motivated to seek ways in which she could help people, help themselves and create a positive, buzzing community that everyone could connect with. She met Louise and over the course of two-years, gently unfolded the plan to unite their skills and create a business with higher purpose.
I have found that people from all walks of life are interested in releasing their personal power. You might be surprised at how many people from varying backgrounds have attended my groups in the past. The time has come for us to move forward and take the driving-seat of our lives – and that is achieved in many ways, including being open to the mind, body and spirit all working together.
Alongside Bowen Therapy, Kerry also practices her own Allergy Elimination /Energy Balancing technique which she has modified from the NAET technique. She also performs blood analysis which helps her to see what is going on in the body at any time so she can see which parts of the body are weak and need attention.
Kerry has learnt an amazing array of healing modalities and still continues to do so. Here they are:
- Bowen Therapist, currently completing her Masters Level.
- Has qualified to Reiki Master Teacher for her own personal empowerment
- Certificate in Hypnotherapy
- Crystal Bowl Healing
- Allergy Elimination
- Blood Analysis
- Tarot and Intuitive Cards for personal exploration

Interview with Jude Randell
Owner of the Bethelehem Health & Tea Shop
Bethelehem Health & Tea Shop is an independently owned health store serving local people in Tauranga and all over New Zealand. In fact, parcels are even sent overseas to people who have found the store on the net and are drawn to what Jude has to offer.
We asked Jude about how her business came into being and what drives her to be a business with a difference, through making a difference. This is what she had to tell us:
“It was my childhood dream to be a nurse. As a child, I grew up thinking that is all I would do. At 17 I went nursing and spent many hours within a hospital as a part of my training. I just loved it.
I knew I would see and experience things I would never forget. I remember this poor old lady with diabetes, whose amputated leg had become gangrenous. Spending time with this lady and dressing her putrid amputation is an experience I shall never forget. At 17 I was very sensitive and at nights I didn’t sleep for what seemed like ages. But I learnt how to deal with it and carried on with my training.
Life changed and I moved away from nursing. I loved the patients, however ‘office politics’ and working with a very strong group of young women didn’t appeal so much. In hindsight, perhaps growing up in the country meant I hadn’t developed the social skills required to deal with certain tensions and team ‘dynamics’.
So, I moved on, married and raised a family. Like many people have and still do, I left my childhood dreams unfulfilled and thought that I might return to them at a later stage in life. Since that time I’ve been very blessed to have had some wonderful jobs. I once worked as a dental assistant/technician which I absolutely loved. Whilst I was raising my children I got a job at the local secondary school as a teacher-aid and Laboratory Assistant. Science was my thing. I worked with students and prepared science experiments so in roundabout way I hadn’t completely left my path. I also got my heavy truck license and was able to bus the kids on school trips. Over the eleven years I spent at a small secondary school I ended up working in the office as the Principal’s Secretary and Executive Officer.
At home, I was keen to do whatever I could to give my children as natural a diet as possible. It was something that was just really important to me. Whether it was coming from a farming background or just in my nature, who knows? So meals were always cooked from scratch.
Having travelled to various places around the world, I think New Zealand does a pretty good job at living back to basics. We still bake, and know how to cook with fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, there does seem to be an increase in the availability of convenience foods. I hope that we manage to make a comeback, before we’ve lost the art of basic cooking. And yes, I’d like to think I can be part of that.
It wasn’t until I was around age 47 that my path seemed to return to my original passion. I’d always got a lot of satisfaction from making a difference to people. My passion found me. I was looking through the local paper and saw an ad “business with a difference”. I knew straight away it was for me. A few months later I was opening the doors of The Bethlehem Health & Tea Shop. I have never looked back.
I’ve learnt heaps over the last five years. The training courses on so many aspects of natural health, and information shared to independent people like me is outstanding. And of course I learn so much from my team who are qualified and experienced in their own passions. I’ve become even more passionate about health and helping people to restore and maintain their natural health. I believe being healthy and happy is everyone’s natural right. More and more people are now increasing their knowledge of how to build a healthy level of nutrition into their lives.
I get huge satisfaction from seeing positive changes in people’s lives – of restoring our body’s natural function to heal. To run a business that uses all of the skills I have learnt over the years is extremely fulfilling. I could not have done this when I was younger, so life has given me the tools I need to be able to live my passion. I know medical practices and modern medicine does have its place in our lives but so does our natural ability to heal. I like to show that nutrition and natural therapies can restore us to our natural balance.
Why is Jude a Kash or Kind Business Sponsor?
I feel I’d like to give and make a difference beyond what I can do in my store. I know that emotional well being and leading a happy and fulfilling life is a major factor in restoring our natural balance. It’s well known now that health and happiness go hand in hand. I’m so content running my health shop, it’s great to find other ways to help people. Being a Kash or Kind Business Sponsor with The Life Academy of New Zealand gives me the satisfaction that not only am I supporting someone to find their passion and purpose in life, this person will also be giving of themselves to a local worthy cause in return. How cool is that?”
