Kash or Kind

Kash or Kind is a concept founded by The Life Academy of New Zealand. It  transforms the way we do business. It transforms the way you pay for the services we provide.

The Life Academy of New Zealand is committed to being a business with higher purpose. Our heart’s desire is to make a difference. Kash or Kind enables us to do just that.

Imagine choosing how you wish to pay for a service. Cash, or Kindness? What if you don’t have the monetary resources right now to exchange for a class that will change your life. What do you have to exchange? You. You are your greatest resource.

Kash or Kind enables you to give of your time to a worthy cause in exchange for classes at The Life Academy of New Zealand. Kindness is the exchange. You get to make a difference, reaping the abundance that giving brings into your life and you’ll enjoy the rewards of attending our classes.

How is this achieved?

There are many businesses  in New Zealand that are committed to making a difference. They choose to do this by becoming a Kash or Kind Business Sponsor. Through their sponsorship, they not only support you as a consumer, they support the worthy cause that you give your time to. Basically, they cover the cost of your class knowing that they have made a difference, enabled you to make a difference, and have supported you in your endeavours to live your life to the fullest.

You as a consumer, we at The Life Academy, our business sponsors and our worthy causes all come together for a common purpose - to connect, to support one another in our goals, and to change lives for the better. It’s a win all round.

It’s time to do what you are here to do. Don’t let money stand in your way!

Our first Kash or Kind Worthy Cause

We are very excited to announce that Tauranga Riding for the Disabled: Equestrian Therapy Centre is our first Kash or Kind Worthy Cause. Kat MacMillan, Operations Manager, is absolutely delighted that The Life Academy of New Zealand is offering sponsored classes in exchange for time spent with them.

Tauranga RDA is one of 54 centres affiliated to the New Zealand Riding for the Disabled Association. Established at its

Therapy Games

Therapy Games

Welcome Bay headquarters in 1976, the Tauranga centre is open from 8.30am-1.00pm Tuesday to Saturday each week except during public and school holidays.

Some 120 riding clients, of various disabilities and ranging in age from three to sixty, are regular users of Tauranga RDA. Because horse riding is an activity which stimulates and exercises, both mentally and physically, it is ideal for people with disabilities.

How you can help

By opting to pay for one class or an entire course by Kash or Kind, your life is about to become enriched far beyond what you thought possible. Kat Macmillan tells The Life Academy of New Zealand what you can expect:

Having worked with so many volunteers at our centre, I know that the benefits that you will gain from your time with us will far outweigh the time effort you put in. Giving of your time will increase your skills, improve your CV, and give you a whole new level of confidence and feeling of well being. Our doors are open to everyone and we can find an activity that will be comfortable and enjoyable for you.

You’ll benefit by just being in the beautiful environment which is surrounded by nature and bay views. There are a range of activities available for you to choose from, depending on what you enjoy, and how you’d like to contribute. Even if you would prefer to work alone, there is something for you. Here are a few ideas:

How does the Kash or Kind scheme work?

  1. When you book one of our courses you choose to pay in ‘Kindness’.
  2. We’ll be in touch and you can tell us how much time you’d like to start giving, and when you are free
  3. We’ll advise our worthy cause to make the introduction and then you can start!
  4. At the end of your session with our worthy cause you’ll be given a Kash or Kind Voucher to use as payment for your class
  5. You can communicate direct with our worthy cause for any other time you’d like to attend and build up your number of Kash or Kind Vouchers.
